Global Scholar Faculty

Global Scholar believes that the most valuable way for students to learn about world affairs is from scholars, practitioners, and policymakers at the forefront of international issues. Over the program's two weeks, therefore, students will hear from more than twenty leaders in international affairs, who come to Washington and Lee to serve as our Scholars in Residence. Each Scholar in Residence presents a lecture on their area of expertise, and joins students in their small-group precept discussions which follow.

The coursework is structured so that students receive a coherent, comprehensive education on international affairs. The course's component parts are all tied together by morning lectures and precept discussions led by experienced Global Scholar staff, and students are encouraged to incorporate what they learn into their roles in the Global Governance simulation and their Campaign Idol presentations.
